The Texas Board of Pardons and Paroles denied release to Jack Wayne Reeves, who is serving concurrent 35-year and 99-year sentences for murdering two of his wives.

Reeves, 85, was convicted in separate trials involving the deaths of Sharon Vaughn, his second wife, and Emilita Villa, his fourth wife. He entered the Texas prison system in 1996 and is housed at the Wallace Pack Unit near Navasota.

Reeves became eligible for parole review in February 2026. TDCJ records cited by Texoma’s Homepage show that the board denied parole on April 14 and scheduled his next review for April 2031.

The reported denial reasons included his repeated criminal conduct, the violent nature of the offenses and the board’s conclusion that he continued to pose a threat to public safety.

A parole-eligibility date only allows the board to consider release. It does not guarantee that a person will be approved, and the board may set a later review date after a denial.
