A former Texas Department of Criminal Justice correctional officer was sentenced to 10 years in prison on May 28, 2026, in a bribery case involving an alleged plan to carry methamphetamine into the Boyd Unit.

KLTV reported that Diamon Dunn, 28, was working as a correctional officer at the Boyd Unit when the conduct occurred in August 2025. Dunn had been charged with bribery and delivery of a controlled substance.

According to an arrest affidavit cited by KLTV, Dunn met an undercover officer at a Tyler gas station while partially dressed in her TDCJ uniform. Investigators alleged that she accepted 71 grams of methamphetamine and $2,500 as payment to take the drugs into the prison.

Judge Taylor Heaton sentenced Dunn to 10 years for bribery. KLTV reported that the separate controlled-substance delivery charge was disposed. The sentence represents the final reported outcome of a case that previously included Dunn rejecting a plea offer.
